German Bishops Continue to Interfere in Democratic Process

Losing hundreds of thousands of members a year is not the number one issue for the German Church it seems, unless it is and they are trying to lose more.

The ultra wealthy and lavish German Church has spent the past year interfering in the political process by condemning the alternative to establishment.

Members of the church have suggested essentially excommunicating members who join the AfD, an anti establishment party who are opposed to mass immigration. There have been bishops and other leaders who have suggested placing a ban on their members being allowed to participate in church life.

In a meeting in Augsburg this week, the bishops strongly backed establishment immigration policy by condemning the AfD.

In a statement, they said that anti open borders policies are:

"incompatible with the Christian image of God and humankind."

The document also says that ‘"After several spurts of radicalization, the AfD is now dominated by a nationalistic attitude."

Do Catholics no longer believe in nations? This appears to be implied in the statement.

The bishops also said that people cannot be involved in such politics if involved with church volunteering.
