Judge Allows Lubbock to Remain Prolife Sanctuary

Following their decision to become a prolife sanctuary city, Lubbock Texas faced a lawsuit from abortion company Planned Parenthood.

The federal district judge rejected their suit, after Lubbock’s prolife sanctuary law took effect yesterday. This new law means that when an unborn baby is destroyed through abortion, then family members or relatives who are affected can bring forth a case against those involved with the destruction of the baby.

Planned Parenthood had only started to provide baby destructions in Lubbock last Spring, no doubt they will have been outraged at the loss of potential revenue that has been incurred by the ban.

The ordinance was passed by Lubbock voters by 62% and with 250,000 people living in the city, it represents a substantial bloody nose to the abortion industry. Since it is an ordinance, it makes it trickier to oppose, as the judge told Planned Parenthood.

Such ordinances are a productive way to ensure that future approaches can be equally problematic for the abortion industry, and may force the hand of the Supreme Court to overturn Roe vs. Wade.
