Manifesto for the Rosary for Spain

The following manifesto will be read at churches all across Spain this coming Friday 8th December at 7.30.

MANIFESTO OF THE ROSARY FOR SPAIN

Today, December 8th, the feast of the Immaculate Conception, patroness of Spain, the Spanish Catholic people gather to venerate our Mother of Heaven. The Virgin Mary is our comfort and hope. Under her mantle, we await with faith and tranquility the help we need.

The Spanish nation stands at a crossroads. In recent decades, it has been threatened on multiple fronts. Its progressive balkanization, the hijacking of Parliament by anti-Spanish forces, the destruction of the middle class, and the lack of a true national project plague Spain. The ruling partyocracy oligarchy has often forgotten the function of any fair form of government: to seek the common good.

However, the crisis facing our homeland is much deeper. The ‘Land of Mary’ suffers, above all, a moral and spiritual bankruptcy. The ideological way of thinking has replaced our traditional religiosity with false secular religions. Relativism, nihilism, materialism, and hedonism have corrupted the deepest roots of the Spanish people.

The West has embarked on a path unparalleled in any other civilization. It seeks to build itself forgetting its Creator. Man is above all a religious being. Unfortunately, the nihilistic and impious & ‘death of God’ - driven by the ruling elites and powerful groups - is having devastating effects on society. The genocide of abortion, the legalization of euthanasia, the destruction of the family, social atomization, and the destruction of our spiritual community put Spain on the brink of existential agony.

The prayer of the Holy Rosary for the unity of Spain does not involve mixing politics and religion. The Spanish nation is not understood without the Cross. The state has usurped the auctoritas that the Church historically had. There is a violent religious persecution and another that is more invisible and dangerous. It interferes in areas where a ruler, unless he is a tyrant, could never intrude. It imposes the moral education of the youngest; penalizes praying in abortion clinics with imprisonment; prohibits praying in public with fines and detentions.

Leviathan’s chimeric neutrality only implies desacralisation and harassment of Christians. The line separating a just regime from a tyrannical one was crossed long ago. Religion is the greatest enemy of any tyrant. However, the Spanish people will not bow to blatantly unjust coercion. We will no longer fear their impositions and their anti-Christian agenda. The Catholic has a duty to bear witness to his faith in all areas. We refuse to be confined to churches and the privacy of our homes. A person, even if they do not understand secularism, is Christian at all times and places.

In times like the present, when confusion and tepidity prevail, the role that the laity must play is crucial. Prayer is the most powerful weapon a servant of God can have. All the great battles won by our nation have been with a Rosary in hand. Saint Anthony Mary Claret warned us that ‘In the Holy Rosary, the salvation of Spain is encrypted’.

For all the above, Catholic Spain gathers and is reading this manifesto in numerous cities with the purpose of worshiping God and venerating His Immaculate Mother. We pray for the intercession and help of the Virgin Mary to prevent the territorial and spiritual dismemberment of Spain. God is with us!
