October 13th 2026 marks 25 years since the ordination of Fr. Ragheed Ganni.
Ragheed was ordained in Rome and celebrated his first Mass in the Pontifical Irish College.
He returned to Iraq in 2003, keeping his deep bond with Ireland by ministering at Lough Derg each summer.
In 2007, he was martyred in Mosul after refusing to close his church at the command of Islamic terrorists.
He is now a Servant of God.
