Latin Mass BANNED at St. Peter's Basilica

In a crude and cruel exercise of the worst kind of clericalism, the Vatican has today released a document which effectively bans the Latin Mass from St. Peter’s Basilica.

The document bans all privately celebrated Masses from the upper body of the Basilica and regulates a small number of times throughout the day in which private Masses are entitled to be celebrated in the crypt beneath and the Clementine Chapel. At that, only ‘authorised’ priests may do so.

Understandably, such drastic action is upsetting. But it is also a reminder that the Traditional Latin Mass is the central target for harassment by Modernist authorities for the simple reason that it is the most effective tool that the church has at the moment for catechesis and for evangelisation.

Short term suppression will only ensure the long term growth of the Traditional Latin Mass. Modernists did not learn that lesson from previous efforts.
