Polish Men Hold Rosary Rally in Warsaw

In this year of St. Joseph, it is important that men are encouraged to make public displays of their faith, something that is all too rare in the Catholic world these days. This is especially true of Europe, where young men are greatly maligned in the church and sometimes even actively discouraged from participating.

In Poland however, their current situation is very different from the rest of Europe. Many of their public Catholic events boast a strong male presence, with many in recent months gathering outside churches to defend them from attacks by militant pro aborts and feminists.

This past week, a large group of men (many of them young) attended a Rosary Rally in Warsaw.

At the front of the group was a portrait of Our Lady which the men venerated as they prayed the Rosary in the public square, before then attending Mass together, with the image of Our Lady front and centre.

It is admirable to see such devotion on display, hopefully the example of Polish men can be one that is followed by the rest of Europe, a continent which is struggling for identity and purpose in the 21st Century.
