Pope Leo Pays Tribute To Communism Victims

August 23rd each year marks the Victims of Communism and Nazism Remembrance Day in Europe.

Speaking at his Wednesday General Audience this week, Pope Leo XIV drew attention to one of the most well known of those victims.

Blessed Father Władysław Findysz is the first martyr of Communism in Poland to be beatified.

Pope Leo said: “reminds us that a civilization of love is built by forgiving and overcoming evil with good.”
