The Vatican has announced that Pope Benedict XVI’s funeral will take place on Thursday January 5th at 9.30 am local time.
From Monday until Wednesday, the faithful can visit his remains in St. Peter’s Basilica.
Pope Francis will preside over the funeral on Thursday.
