500 Fatima Rosary Rallies Across Ireland
Thousands of Catholic volunteers are preparing to celebrate the 105 the anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima.
The target date is May 14 and the goal is five hundred Public Square Rosary Rallies nationwide.
Irish Society for Christian Civilisation (ISFCC) and its Ireland Needs Fatima campaign are promoting rosary rallies in public places as a fitting way to commemorate Our Lady’s apparitions in Fatima
“People are really excited about doing their Rosary rally and momentum is picking up fast,” noted Gregory Murphy, the Rosary Rally Coordinator for Ireland Needs Fatima. “Participants will proclaim their faith publicly, pray for Ireland, and send a clear message to secularists who want to ban God from the public square.”
“Our office is buzzing with activity. Volunteers and staff are busy contacting new rosary captains, answering questions and sending out supplies,’’ Mr. Murphy said.
“Since 2013, Ireland Needs Fatima has organised a Rosary Rally six times a year on O’Connell Street, Dublin, from May to October to honour the apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima.” Gregory continued. “And INF Rosary Rally Captains hold similar rallies in Waterford, Dundalk, Limerick, Cork, Tralee and Letterkenny. In 2016, Ireland Needs Fatima organised over 160 Rosary Rallies nationwide and in 2017, over 180.”
“More and more people are looking to the Fatima message because it offers a sure remedy to the moral crisis in society.” Gregory Murphy continued. “In other words, prayer, penance and conversion are the answer to many problems.”
“These rallies are very easy to do. All the Rally Captain must do is invite people to join him in praying the Rosary publicly. We send them a banner, a manual and leaflets to hand out to passers-byers. On top of that, a real Red Rose will be sent to the Fatima Shrine for each Rally Captain.”
